2023 UNUSUAL PRAISE: LAGOS ARCHDIOCESE SET FOR THE BIGGEST CATHOLIC MUSICAL FESTIVAL IN AFRICA

10 things you need to know about this
MEGA EVENT

1. It is the 7th major edition of this biggest Catholic Musical Festival holding in Nigeria.
2. The date for this year is Friday, December 15, 2023.
3. Like last year, the venue is Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Onikan, Lagos.
4. The event will start from 5pm on Friday, Dec. 15 and end by 7am on Saturday, Dec. 16.
5. The event will feature joyful and soul lifting Praises, dance, prayers, breaking of the Word of God, Award to upcoming Entrepreneurs and the Holy Mass
6. Besides, there will also be the opportunity for Sacramental Confession from 5pm to 7pm. (So, take advantage and go for your advent confession in preparations for Christmas. Many priests will be available, giving you wide choices.
7. Some of the artistes expected include: Nathaniel Bassey, Dunsin, Sinach, Jude Nnam, Chioma Jesus, Bee Jee Sax, Augustine University Band, some up-coming Gospel ministers groomed by the Archdiocesan Evangelisation team.
8. Though now joined by few others, the event is the initiative of the Catholic Church of Divine Mercy, Lekki phase 1, under the pastoral care of the unassuming Very Rev. Msgr. Pascal Nwaezeapu.
9. Donations for the event are primarily from the good Parishioners of Divine Mercy parish, from Leo Stan Ekeh, but also from many men and women of goodwill and through sponsorship by few corporate organisations. (More are needed. You can still be part of it).
10. Participation is open to all and free. For those who cannot make it physically, you can follow online through: DSTV 254, YouTube, Facebook, and other social media handles.

Considering what we have gone through as a nation, Unusual Praise is a special opportunity to turn our hearts and minds to God in prayerful thanksgiving for His blessings, offering Him the praise and dance he alone deserves. If the Lord had not been on our side. We also offer praise in hope for a better situation in the coming year; praying that God looks upon our nation with compassion and delivers us from our foes.
