All Saints Diocesan Choir Kano Diocese Holds Christmas Carol
Ahead of festivities billed for the Christmas celebration, All Saints Choir of the Catholic Diocese of Kano, performed its carol in form of hymns and Choruses at St. Thomas Catholic Church airport road, kano on the 4th of December, 2022. The event went through the various hymns and Christmas songs by various choir within the parishes including the Seminarians from the Holy Name Spiritual Year Seminary, kano . The guest speaker at the event, Rev Fr Emmanuel Ikpeha who spoke on the need for Christians to have a deeper understanding and the truth of the spirituality surrounding the birth of Christ. He said God has shown his love to the world and his light will dispel all darkness in the world.
He prayed for the joy of Christmas to be established in their homes and the country especially as we prepare for another general election in 2023. He also reminded the congregation on the glory of the Lord, His wonders, how He stands for His people in trying times and most importantly His unending grace.
The Bishop of the Diocese, most Revd. Dr. John Namaza Niyiring OSA, in his closing remarks, expressed his joy and happiness over the success of the Christmas carol 2022. He said going by all he had seen and heard, so much have been put to have this wonderful outing. The Bishop noted that, without the incarnation of Christ, there wouldn’t be anything like Christmas . He prayed for journey mercies for all those who wish to travel to celebrate the festive season with family members and friends . He prayed for God’s blessing and protection on all present and he expressed his thanks to the seminarians and parishioners from the various parishes in the Diocese.
The chairman of the choir, Mr. Francis Ejembi said he felt fulfilled by the expression of the congregation, as they enjoyed and participated in the singing.
