The Bishop, priests and people of God in Ikot Ekpene Diocese warmly welcomed the Catholic Bishops to the 2025 Plenary Assembly, marked by vibrant celebrations and soul-stirring music.
The ‘Real Brass’ musical band, clad in their signature red and black uniforms, thrilled the crowd with a resounding musical rendition at the Retreat and Youth Development Centre in Nto Ekpu, Obot Ikot.

The faithful of Ikot Ekpene Diocese danced with joy, welcoming the fathers of the faith. The diocesan Catholic Women Organisation and other sodality groups also turned out in large numbers to receive the Chief Shepherds.
The host Bishop, Most Rev. Camillus Raymond Umoh, led the welcoming ceremony, accompanied by the Secretary General, Rev. Fr. Michael Banjo, and other directors of the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria (CSN).
The bishops will engage in prayerful deliberations on issues affecting the Church and the nation from September 11 to 19, 2025. The assembly promises to bring God’s blessings and good tidings for the diocese, the people of Ikot Ekpene, and Nigeria.
