The Pastoral Agents Department at the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria (CSN) is set to host a joint meeting of all Catholic Knights in Nigeria from Thursday, January 25 to Saturday, January 27, 2024 at the CSN Resource Centre, Abuja.
The event with the theme: “Collaboration in Support and Defence of the Catholic Faith in Nigeria,” will be attended by the Bishop Chairman for the Laity, while Most Rev Isaac Dugu will be the guest speaker. The National Chaplains of the Laity Council, Chaplains of the Knights and the National President of the Laity Council will also attend.
Also expected at the meeting are various key figures including members of the National Executive Committee of Papal Knights and Medalists, Provincial Presidents of Papal Knights and Medalists, Archdiocesan Presidents of Papal Knights and Medalists, the Supreme Officers of the Knights of St. Mulumba, the Noble Officers of the Knights of St. John International, the Metropolitan LSM Presidents, the Supreme Subordinate Officers of Knights of St. John International, and other notable representatives.
The crucial meeting is in response to the Catholic Bishops instructions as contained in the 2009 guide for the operation of lay faithful, encouraging a yearly joint meeting of all the knights at all levels for greater harmony, mutual exchange of energies, and collaboration in service.
