I thank you Lord for this great favour of a new year.
Thank you for all your blessings and protection in the past year.
Thank you also even for the moments of pain and disappointment.
Renew your Grace upon me, my family and all that concerns me.
Turn every pain and disappointments of last year to joy and victory for me in this year.
Grant me the grace to harvest and enjoy the fruit of my labour. May I never labour in vain.
In my successes, grant me the humility to acknowledge you, and the sensitivity to share with others.
Help me to develop the grace to hate sin, and strive to live a life that is pleasing to you.
Also grant me the grace to be able to forgive those who hurt me, so that I can receive your perfect forgiveness in return.
Deliver me and my family from every disaster and snares of the evil one. May they not prevail against us.
May this new year bring fresh blessings, hope and goodness into my life and my family.
I ask this through Christ our Lord.
