PMS celebrates 180th anniversary of HOLY CHILDHOOD ASSOCIATION

The Holy Childhood Association (HCA) was founded by Bishop Charles De Forbin-Jason on 19th May 1843 in France.
Thus, it has been in existence for 180 years, shaping the lives of our Children by instilling missionary consciousness in order to guide them towards a spiritual communion and material sharing of their resources with other children, especially those in difficulty. Hence their motto: CHILDREN HELPING CHILDREN.

It has won many friends for Jesus since its Creation and gained the protection of the Pope in 1922 by the name “Pontifical”. It was made Pontifical by Pope Pius XI in 1922.

The Holy Childhood Association has been in Nigeria for about three decades, and has been helping in Missionary formation of our children. The children of Nigeria have benefited a lot from the Universal Solidarity funds of the Holy Childhood through provision of schools, Learning materials, scholarship for the needy.
