The bishops reaffirm the Catholic Church’s stand against capital punishment and appeal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to grant pardon to Mr. Sunday Jackson.
7. Prison Reform:
The bishops call for improved treatment of inmates, expedited justice, and decongestion of correctional centres.

The bishops urge the media to resist obsession with bad news and instead promote balanced reportage that highlights positive developments in society.
9. Interfaith Collaboration:
The bishops pray with their Muslim brethren during the Lenten season and Ramadan, emphasizing the need for interfaith collaboration.
