Dearest friends, are you among those who are already worried about the ongoing SYNOD ON SYNODALITY going on in Rome? Please, do not worry so much but pray more that the Holy Spirit would ensure that the deliberations and the decisions would be in accordance with the Will of God and for the salvation of souls.
Again, why you should not worry is that in the Catholic Church, decisions concerning FAITH and MORALSย are not determined by MAJORITY. It is not a Democracy thing.
At least, the commission that was set up by Pope St. Paul VI to look into the issue of CONTRACEPTIVE during his Pontificate submitted their report with the majority in support of contraceptive but at the end of the day there emerged the all time Encyclical: โHUMANAE VITAE’,ย wherein the Pope, in the name of the Church said NO, NO to contraceptive and that has remained the stand of the Church till today.
Again, quite recently, after the AMAZONIAN SYNOD, the majority supported the critical issues of the synod, the height of it being the issue of married priests. Now, when the recommendation draft was submitted to Pope Francis, after deep reflections and prayers, there came the Apostolic Exhortation: โQUERIDA AMAZONIA’, wherein the Pope, for the first time in history, did not even make any reference to the recommendation draft presented to him but upheld the long teachings on the Church on the issues of discussion and said NO, NO to married priests.
Well, I am confident in the words of Jesus Christ thus: โ… the gate of hell shall not prevail against the Church”ย (cf. Matt 16:18).
So, while we wait for the outcome of the synod, let all of us keep saying the โPRAYER FOR THE SYNOD’; do you still have the prayer? If not, kindly see it at the last part of this post.
๐๐ผPlease, beloved friends, while the synod is going on, do not allow the media to deceive you by saying that the Pope has supported this or that. Normally, it is only at the end of the synod that the Pope, after deep reflections and prayers, would write what is called โPOST-SYNODAL APOSTOLIC EXHORTATION’ and that is where he would give the final outcome of the synod. Until then, please ignore all the fake news on issues like same-sex union, etc.
May the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of the Church continue to intercede for the Church and all of us. Amen๐๐ผ

PRAYER FOR THE SYNOD
We stand before You, Holy Spirit, as we gather together in Your name.
With You alone to guide us, make Yourself at home in our hearts;
Teach us the way we must go and how we are to pursue it.
We are weak and sinful; do not let us promote disorder.
Do not let ignorance lead us down the wrong path nor partiality influence our actions.
Let us find in You our unity so that we may journey together to eternal life and not stray from the way of truth and what is right.
All this we ask of You, who are at work in every place and time, in the communion of the Father and the Son, forever and ever.
Amen.
