A new Shepherd for the Church in Nigeria!
We at Bayard Africa, both in Abidjan and Nairobi, are delighted to learn of Pope Francis’ appointment of Father Gerald Musa as bishop of the new diocese of Katsina, in Northern Nigeria.
For several years, Bishop-elect Gerald Musa has accompanied readers of Living With Christ missal with his insightful biblical commentaries deeply rooted in African socio-cultural realities. This way, he has enabled us to bring the riches of the Church’s liturgical prayer within reach of many while at the same time creating a bond of unity and communion between Christian communities and local Churches in Africa.
Through this Special Edition booklet, which accompanies his consecration and installation as bishop, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for his unwavering commitment to the Bayard family.
