Bishop Niyiring visits parents of 5 year old Hanifa, killed by her teacher in Kano

Most Revd. Dr. John Namaja Niyiring OSA, Bishop, Catholic Diocese of Kano, today paid a Condolence visit to the Parent of Hanifa Abubakar, the 5 years old girl that was abducted and killed by her teacher in Kano recently. The Bishop while sympathizing with the Parent says it is very bad and disheartening to see the people we entrusted our children with becoming the killer of them. Bishop Niyiring was accompanied on the visit by Rev. Fr. Adolphus Nwachukwu, Principal St. Thomas Secondary School, Kano. Rev. Fr. Felix Chom Yari, Education Secretary, Catholic Diocese of Kano. Suleiman Adams, President Catholic Media Practitioner Association of Nigeria ( Northern Region)
Prayers for the repose soul of Hanifa and the grace for her Parent to bear the lost was led by Rev. Fr. Felix Chom Yari. Mallam Abubakar, the father of the girl thanked the Bishop and his entourage for identifying and sympathizing with him at this difficult time despite not belonging to the same religion, while praying to Almighty God to bless him and his entourage narrated how Hanifa abductor and killer led other school teachers and pupil to his house a day after Hanifa was declarged missing to sympathize with him and his wife.
