The Catholic Bishop of Makurdi Diocese, Most Revd Wilfred Anagbe CMF has appointed a new Chancellor following the election of Father Jude Ortese as the provincial superior of the Holy Ghost Fathers, North East, Nigeria. The new Chancellor is Father Shima Benjamin Ukpanya VC. Father Ukpanya is the parish priest of Youth Centre Church and the Dean of Genabe.
The Bishop also made the following appointments: Father Jonathan Gondo VC is the Dean of Genabe, and he takes over from Father Ukpanya; Father Bartholomew Shokua is the new chaplain of Catholic Youth Organisation of Nigeria, CYON, he has replaced Father Mimi Chokom; Father Solomon Atongo is the new PMS Director and the Deputy Director project.
In their separate letters of appointment, the Bishop reminded them of the need to undertake their assignment with discipline and to adhere strictly to the provisions of the Code of Canon Law, the diocesan statutes and approved customs. He also prayed for the spirit of de
