CAMPAN Northern Region PRO Loses Wife, Newborn in Childbirth

The Catholic Media Practitioners of Nigeria (CAMPAN) announced the tragic loss of Lady Amanda Johnpaul Umoru, wife of Sir Johnpaul Oshioke Umoru, Regional Public Relations Officer (PRO) of CAMPAN’s Northern Region.

Lady Amanda Johnpaul Umoru, 31, passed away on August 30, 2024, at Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) shortly after childbirth, along with her newborn baby.

According to a statement signed by CAMPAN President, Campan Suleiman Adams: “We regret to announce the passing of our beloved sister, Lady Amanda Johnpaul Umoru (LSM), wife of our Northern Region PRO, Sir Johnpaul Oshioke Umoru. May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace.”

In a release signed by NAF, LSM and the Umoru family, a funeral Mass will be held for Lady Amanda Johnpaul Umoru on Friday, September 20, 2024, by 10:00 am at St. Gabriel Catholic Chaplaincy, 551, Nigerian Airforce Base, Jos. Interment will follow at Shaka Cemetery, located behind the Airforce Base.

Sir Johnpaul Umoru also serves as the Northern Region Coordinator of the Catholic Artiste and Entertainers Association of Nigeria (CAEAN), Kaduna Ecclesiastical Province.

The Catholic Communications apostolate in Nigeria mourns the passing of Lady Amanda, a devoted wife, mother, and dedicated member of the Ladies of St. Mulumba (LSM), offering condolences to the bereaved family.
