Catholic Bishops of Nigeria congratulate AIT at 25

The Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) felicitated with the founder and Chairman of DAAR Communications and the owner of African Independence Television (AIT) on the occasion of the silver jubilee celebration of the media organisation.
The CBCN goodwill was conveyed to High Chief Raymond Dokpesi, his management staff and the technical crew by the National Director of Social Communications of the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria, Abuja during the thanksgiving Mass for the ace media organisation in Nigeria, which was held at the Catholic Church of the Assumption, Asokoro in Abuja on Sunday 5 December, 2021.
Rev. Fr Michael Umoh said “On behalf of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN), we joyfully send our revered High Chief Raymond Dokpesi, the management and all the diligent staff of DAAR Communications, good wishes on this auspicious occasion of the 25th anniversary celebration of AIT.”
Through their mouthpiece the Bishops remarked further that “It is worthy of note that for 25 solid years, AIT has been deeply committed to informing, forming and entertaining the African people and advancing the African culture. In this way AIT continues to contribute enormously to the process of social orientation, social engineering and social integration of Nigerians and Africans both internally and in their relationship with other nations.”
Moreover, the College of Bishops saluted the courage, persistence and determination of AIT management in spite of the many tough hurdles, noting that it is what has sustained the organization to such enviable heights as the second largest commercial television network in Africa.
The CBCN concluded their message on a note of gratitude to High Chief Dokpesi for his enormous support of the media apostolate of the Catholic Church in Nigeria. “We also use this occasion to renew our gratitude to you for being such a great partner with the Catholic Church in Nigeria in her media apostolate. The Catholic Church in Nigeria is indeed grateful for your huge and unremitting support,” they said.
