50 years ago, Bishop Francis Folorunsho Alonge was ordained Auxilliary Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Ondo. He was a student of our Seminary here until 1963 when he was ordained a priest. He is coming home to his alma mater today and tomorrow.
The program promises to be memorable. 50 years as bishop is massive. It is pure grace! Join us in celebrating this great man of God, whom I have known since 1974, who is like a father to me, who accepted my application to go to the Seminary in 1984, who ordained me as a priest in 1992 and whose life has been a massive inspiration to me.
The schedule of activities to commemorate the celebration is as follows:
1. Football match in his honour by 4pm Nigeria time, today 30th April, 2024
2. Solemn Vespers in his honour today 30th April, 2024, by 7pm
3. Solemn Mass of Thanksgiving, Wednesday 1st May, 2024, 10am
4. Grand Reception/Launching of a book in the celebrant’s honour in the Seminary Auditorium, Wednesday 1st May, 2024
