‘Holy Rosary, not all about Mary’ – Fr. Zaku

…as CSN community concludes October devotion

Delivering his homily at the Mass to commemorate the end of the month of October devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Joseph, at the St. Gabriel Chaplaincy, Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria (CSN), the National Director of the Pontifical Mission Society (PMS), Rev. Fr. Solomon Zaku, intimated all that the Holy Rosary is not all about the Virgin Mary, but that it is a Christ-centered Prayer.

“It is interesting to note that the Rosary is not all about Mary, it is a Christ-centered Prayer. It is a combination of vocal and meditative prayers. The mysteries of the Rosary are all about what happened in the life of Jesus, therefore, it is Christocentric.
“Some will ask is the Rosary biblical? Yes it is biblical, because all the prayers we say while praying the Rosary are all in the bible,” he admonished.

The activities to mark the end of the month-long devotion, by the Management and Staff of the CSN and other agencies of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN), started with a Rosary Procession and Benediction before it rounded off with the Holy Mass.
