In a heartfelt demonstration of compassion and dedication to education, the Catholic Bishop of Katsina-Ala Diocese, Most Rev. Isaac Bundepuun Dugu, has sponsored the education of two internally displaced persons (IDP) children, enabling their admission at Araceli Aid Foundation Academy in Enugu State.
The beneficiaries, Terhemem Jennifer Mesuur and Agba Aondoawase Timothy, residents of the IDP camps in Anyiin and Ugba, will receive comprehensive secondary school education through Bishop Dugu’s initiative.
To ensure the children’s educational and personal wellbeing, the Catholic Diocese of Katsina-Ala has collaborated with Araceli Academy, leveraging a scholarship scheme. The Diocese expresses deep gratitude to Araceli Academy’s founder and management for their generous scholarship offer.
Furthermore, the Diocese is committed to assuming full responsibility for the education and wellbeing of these children, facilitated by the kindness of its local and international donors and philanthropists.
This initiative reinforces the Church’s steadfast commitment to education and humanitarian work in Nigeria, providing hope and opportunities to vulnerable populations.
