The Catholic Bishop of Lafia Diocese, Most Rev. David Ajang has urged the participants at the 2025 SIGNIS National Congress holding at the Daughters of Divine Love Retreat Centre, (DRAAC) Lugbe, Abuja, to remain steadfast in their efforts and never lose courage in the face of challenges.
Speaking during his homily, Bishop Ajang emphasised the importance of resilience, reminding the faithful that setbacks should not be seen as final defeats but as opportunities to rise stronger.
“Never get tired of trying again,” the Bishop charged the participants, encouraging them to cultivate perseverance in their personal lives, spiritual journeys, and daily responsibilities. He noted that the Christian calling requires continuous effort, renewal, and trust in God’s providence, since failure is a temporary setback.
The prelate further highlighted that consistency and determination are vital virtues for progress, especially in today’s world where many are tempted to give up too quickly when faced with difficulties.
In conclusion, he said “God wants us to use our profession to evangelise; the grace of God is sufficient for everyone.”
