Rev. Fr. Mark Ojotu of Otukpo Diocese abducted

A Priest of the Catholic Dioceses of Otukpo and Chaplain of St. Mary’s Hospital, Okpoga, Rev. Fr. Mark Ojotu, was kidnapped yesterday, December 22, 2022.
In a statement by the Diocesan Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Joseph Aboyi Itodo, which was made available to the National Directorate of Social Communications in Abuja, Fr. Ojotu was abducted at about 5:00pm along Okpoga-Ojapo Road, Okpokwu LGA of Benue State.
Following the sad development, the Bishop of the Diocese, Most Rev. Michael Apochi, has called on all Christ’s faithful in and beyond the Diocese, “to earnestly pray for his quick and safe release as we intensify efforts to ensure his release.”
The statement further commended Fr. Ojotu “and all those in the kidnappers’ den throughout the country to the powerful intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary for their speedy and safe release from the hands of their abductors.”
