In a bid to further strengthen collaboration and continuity within the universal church’s structures, the Executive Secretary, Caritas Nigeria and Director, Church and Society Department of the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria, Rev. Fr. Peter Babangida Audu, paid a courtesy visit to the Auxiliary Bishop of Minna Diocese, Most Rev. Luka Sylvester Goladi Gopep, on August 6, 2025.

The visit served as an opportunity to formally introduce the newly appointed National Secretary of the Family and Human Life Unit, Rev. Sr. CorJesu Maria Eke, who recently assumed office at the Catholic Secretariat.

During the visit, Bishop Gopep, who also serves as the Episcopal Chair of the Family and Human Life Unit, warmly welcomed Sr. CorJesu and expressed his appreciation for the visit. He commended the Church and Society Department for ensuring a smooth leadership transition within the unit.

The bishop further encouraged Sr. CorJesu to approach her responsibilities with dedication and effectiveness, urging her to build on the legacy of her predecessor, Rev. Sr. Rosanna Emenusiobi.
The meeting highlighted the Church’s unwavering commitment to strengthening its internal structures and promoting the core values of family life and human dignity across the country.
