Dearest friends, do you know that every Eucharistic Celebration (Holy Mass) is made up of *TWO inseparable Tables,* namely: The Table of the WORD and the Table of the EUCHARIST? While the former is composed of: the readings, the homily and the general intercession, the latter is composed of: the presentation of the bread and wine, the consecration and the communion (cf. CCC, n. 1346).

The above Two Tables are Fundamental to every Eucharistic Assembly because of its biblical and historical attachments.

Biblically, we read the encounter of the two disciples with Jesus on their way to Emmaus. Jesus, after leading them through the Scriptures (the WORD), then at the table, he blessed and broke the bread for them (the EUCHARIST). It was only then that they recognised him (cf. Lk 24:13-35).

Concerning the historical aspect of the above Two Tables, the Catechism affirms:

The liturgy of the Eucharist unfolds according to a fundamental structure which has been preserved throughout the centuries down to our own day. It displays TWO great PARTS that form a fundamental UNITY: the Liturgy of the WORD and the Liturgy of the EUCHARIST (cf. CCC, nn. 1346-1348).

ย  ย  ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ *Therefore, as Catholics, we have to always avail ourselves of the above inseparable Two Tables in every Eucharistic Celebration we attend. It is only in this way that we will always RECOGNISE our Lord Jesus Christ just as the two disciples on their way to Emmaus recognised him. Please, let us always avoid the ugly trend of LATE coming to Eucharistic Celebrations. It really robs us of a lot of Divine Favours.

We pray the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church, to always support us with her intercessions. Amen๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ
