WUCWO celebrates 110: Catholic women visit to invite Osibajo

Ahead of the 110th year celebration of the World Union of Catholic Women Organisation (WUCWO), the Catholic Women Organisation of Nigeria (CWON), led by the President, Dame Mary Asibi Gonsum, on Tuesday, 25 January, 2022 paid a courtesy call to the Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osibajo, to invite him to the event.

Dame Gonsum noted that the event was slated for Friday, 18 February, 2022 at the CWO Cor Mariae Boys College, Garki 2, Abuja, during which there would be a ground breaking for the construction of a multipurpose hall for the College.

The CWON leader explained that the proposed project was important because “the College is committed to providing quality education, imparting sound and good moral values and Catholic doctrine to foster good character and sound intellectual and academic excellence.”

Among those expected at the event are the Papal Nuncio to Nigeria, Most Rev. Dr. Antonio Guido Filipazzi, the President of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria (CBCN), Most Rev. Augustine Akubeze, all the Catholic Bishops of Nigeria and other dignitaries.
