The Youth Animation Unit of the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria (CSN) is set to kick-start a transformative programme tagged “Youth Digital Power Bootcamp”, a week-long intensive training aimed at empowering young people with essential media and digital skills for influence, innovation, and impact.
The bootcamp, themed “Equipping Youths with Media Skills for Influence, Innovation and Impact,” is scheduled to hold from 9th to 15th November 2025 at the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria, Abuja.
According to the organisers, the initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 1, 2, 8, and 10, which focus on ending poverty and hunger, promoting decent work and economic growth, and reducing inequalities.
Speaking on the forthcoming event, the National Youth Animator, Rev. Fr. Boniface Idoko explained that the bootcamp seeks to develop a digitally skilled generation of young Catholics who can creatively engage the digital space for evangelisation, entrepreneurship, and nation-building.
Participants at the bootcamp will gain hands-on training in key digital competencies, including script-writing and publishing, photography and videography, photo and video editing, web administration, visual graphics, graphic design, e-commerce solutions, and social media management.
The sign-up fee for interested participants is ₦5,000, after which applicants will undergo screening and selection to ensure eligibility and commitment.
Speaking on the motivation behind the project, the Youth Animation Unit noted that the programme seeks to build a generation of digitally skilled Catholic youths who can leverage technology for evangelisation, creativity, and positive social change.
The Youth Digital Power Bootcamp promises to be an engaging, innovative, and empowering experience for all participants.
