Dearest friends, I hardly can imagine what else any of us would desire that is more than GOING to HEAVEN. Again, do you really think that there is any effort that is put in towards the attainment of Heaven that does not worth it?
The above two points should always be our motivation and inspiration in our daily aspiration towards Heaven. But sometimes, it is difficult to understand why you and I, having known that Heaven is the Supreme Good, still go after things that are capable of denying us Heaven๐คท๐ฝโโ๏ธ
Well, we can say that the WEAKNESS of the human nature; which is the consequence of the Original Sin, is the foundational cause of it. However, there are other things which spring from our conscious CHOICES that could make one lose Heaven. These, the Catechism captures thus:
Ignorance of Christ and his Gospel, bad example given by others, enslavement to one’s passions, assertion of a mistaken notion of autonomy of conscience, rejection of the Church’s authority and her teaching, lack of conversion and of charity (Cf. CCC n. 1792).
Now, you and I have the OBLIGATION to always get rid of all the above and work out our salvation in FEAR and TREMBLINGย (Cf. Phil 2:12). Again, let us always ask for the WISDOM and GRACE of God, which would always help us in our daily DISCERNMENT of the things that are GOOD and the things that are EVIL. Then, having discerned the above, we would always DO the Good and AVOID the Evil. When we mistakenly choose Evil, we should be quick to REPENT and come back to God.
May the Blessed Virgin Mary always support us with her powerful intercession. Amen๐๐ผ
Happy Sunday and remain blessed!
