Reflections By Rev. Fr. David Okolie

Rev. Fr. David Okolie

Dearest friends, just, try and Google something about these Christian Heroes of African descent (St. Charles Lwanga and his Companions). They chose to die instead of yielding to the IMPURE DESIRE of the King.

Worthy of note too is that the youngest of these martyrs is St. Kizito and was only 13 years old.

Do you know also that the place they were BURNT ALIVE so many years ago has turned into a magnificent Church that attracts millions of pilgrim from all over the world every year, on June 3. Just try to read and also view things about these martyrs on the internet (YouTube) today. I assure you, you will be greatly inspired and motivated.

Indeed, “the BLOOD of the Martyrs is the SEED of Church!”

👉🏼As Christians, we really need to ask ourselves this question: What is the SINCERITY and COMMITMENT in our witnessing today?

👉🏼Jesus himself said: “Everyone who acknowledges me publicly here on earth, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. But whoever will have denied me before men, I also will deny before my Father, who is in heaven” (cf. Matt 10:32-33). One can either acknowledge or deny Jesus by the type of lifestyle and choices he/she follows.

May the Ugandan Martyrs keep interceding for us. Amen🙏🏼

Remain blessed🙏🏼
