The Catholic Theological Association of Nigeria (CATHAN) Conference will hold its 2025 Conference in the Archdiocese of Benin City from April 22 to April 25, 2025, at the Bishop Kelly Pastoral Centre.
CATHAN is the foremost association of theologians in Nigeria. Its membership consists of priests, religious, and lay faithful nationwide. Significantly, CATHAN, founded in 1985, marks its 40th anniversary this year. This will also be celebrated during the conference, where theologians brainstorm pertinent theological issues concerning our Catholic faith and morals.
The conference theme is โTheology and Contemporary Approaches to Religion in Nigeria.โ His Eminence, John Cardinal Onaiyekan, will deliver the Keynote address. The conference, which is open to all theologians and others interested in theological issues, will feature commissioned and voluntary papers. The Opening Mass for the Conference will be on Wednesday, April 23rd, at 9 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, Benin City.
