The Directorate of Social Communications, Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria under the auspice of the National Director, Rev. Fr. Dr. Mike Nsikak Umoh commenced a one-week ICT training for its Communications staff.
The training commenced on 13th of October, 2020 at the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria. Series of topics on key areas related to online magazine contents upload were is aimed at improving and broadening the ICT knowledge of the staff of the Communications office.
Speaking at the training session, Rev. Fr. Umoh stressed the need for this one of its kind training in the history of the Communications Directorate, he said the aim is to empower the communications staff of the Directorate with adequate knowledge of what communications is all about and how it works, as well as having certified communicators who will effectively handle the newly designed Nigeria Catholic Network Website and App.
” I foresee Staff of the directorate embarking on carrying out trainings for Communication Directors across the 56 Dioceses and Archdiocese of the Federation.” He added.
At the end In appreciation, the staff of the Directorate said it is a welcome development, they expressed their gratitude and promised to put in their best towards acquiring more knowledge on Media Development and ICT.
