The new Secretary General of the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria (CSN), Very Rev. Fr. Michael Ayanleke Banjo, paid a courtesy visit to the Apostolic Nuncio to Nigeria, Most Rev. Michael Francis Crotty, at the Nunciature in Abuja on Tuesday, January 28, 2025.
Fr. Banjo was accompanied by the National Director of Social Communications,ย Very Rev. Fr. Michael Nsikak Umoh, and the Director of Church and Society/Executive Secretary, Caritas Nigeria, Very Rev. Fr. Babangida Peter Audu.
Describing the visit as “highly significant,” Fr. Banjo said it provided an opportunity to gain insight into the Nuncio’s perspective and explore ways to enhance collaboration between the CSN and the Nunciature.
“The meeting was fruitful, as the Nuncio was engaging and forthcoming in dialogue,” Fr. Banjo noted.
During the visit, Fr. Banjo presented the Apostolic Nuncio with CSN publications, including those on the activities and past communiques of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN).
The Nuncio thanked Fr. Banjo for the visit and assured him of his prayersย andย goodwill.
