The following are the 5 rules of Spiritual Progress which Padre Pio (St. Pio of Pietrelcina) recommended and he himself lived out the rules:
1. Weekly Confessionย (It helps us to be spiritually clean and sensitive to sin).
2. Daily Communion (It helps us avoid sin and quickly return to God through Confession, whenever we sin).
3. Examination of Conscience Every Evening (It helps us identify the dangers to our souls).
4. Daily Spiritual Reading (It helps us nourish our souls).
5. Mental Prayers (It keeps us connected to God daily).
Beloved friend, do you have a PATRON SAINT? (A saint that you are attached to). How is the relationship between you and your Patron Saint? Do not forget that your Patron Saint should also be your ROLE MODEL.
