THE FLOCK OF GOD

Dearest friends,

The truth is that, without any discrimination, ALL of us are the flock of God and he leads us by his OWN hand because we are PRECIOUS to him. The above simply reflects the unity and peace which Christ preached, lived and desires that it continues in the world and in the Church (cf. CCC, n. 2305, Eph 2:16f).

It is also true that God, from time to time, chooses to continue leading his flock through human agents. Thus, we have parents, teachers, religious leaders, political leaders and traditional leaders in their various degrees.

Though God has entrusted the shepherding of his flock to the above, yet he is not constrained to always work with them; especially, when they begin to FAIL in SINCERELY leading this Flock of God (cf. Jer 23:1-6). Hence, since he (God) is the Chief Shepherd of his flock, he may decide to go outside those he has chosen in order to guide his flock to the greener pastures. For example, in 1917, God decided to lead the world to greener pastures through the THREE young visionaries of Fatima. God has not stopped doing that even till today.

👉🏼Therefore, those who have the privilege of leading the Flock of God, either in the family, school, Church, society, etc., should always understand that the Flock is PRECIOUS and so live up to their God-assigned SERIOUS responsibilities. Just like Jesus Christ, they must learn to go outside their Comfort Zones for the sake of the well-being of the Flock of God (cf. Mk 6:31-34).
