The Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) is set for its first plenary meeting of the year, with the theme โFratelli Tutti: Path to building human fraternity and sustainable peace in Nigeria.โ
The Conference is scheduled to hold from Saturday, March 5 to Friday, March 11, 2022, at their headquarters, the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria (CSN), Abuja.
Highlights of the event as released by the Chairman of the Planning Committee, Very Rev. Fr. Zacharia Samjumi include the opening Mass on Sunday, March 6, 2022, which will be followed immediately by the opening ceremony. The closing Mass and closing ceremony will come up on Thursday, March 10, during which the Bishops will release their communique addressing matters of the church and state of the nation.
One of the sessions will be for the lay leaders to give reports of their stewardship to the Bishops.
The CSN News Magazine, a biannual publication of CSN which contains news on the activities of CBCN and the Church will be published.
There will be a daily update on some aspects of the proceedings of the conference, while the Masses and other liturgical celebrations will be streamed live.
